Digestify ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered summarization and learning tool at getdigestify.com. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information. When you register, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Content you submit. The text, URLs, documents, and notes you provide to create digests, along with the summaries and learning data generated from them. This content is stored so we can show you your library and power your AI learning companion.
• Usage data. Basic technical information such as log data and general activity needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide the core service — creating, storing, and displaying your digests and AI learning companion.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Process subscriptions and billing.
• Communicate with you about your account and important service updates.
• Maintain, debug, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

To generate summaries, the content you submit is sent to our AI model provider (Anthropic) for processing. This transmission exists solely to produce your digest. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate:

• Anthropic — AI processing to generate summaries.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Hosting and database providers — to store your account and content.

Each processes data only as needed to provide their function to us.

Data retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual digests at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. You can also export your data from within the app at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. We honor these requests. To exercise any of them, email us at the address below.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use them to sell your data to advertisers.

Children's privacy

Digestify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
